Daylighting
Our purpose-built hydrovac units use highly pressurized water and suction to excavate and expose buried utilities and infrastructure. This non-destructive process uses water pressure to gently break up the ground, preparing the site for future work or to expose utilities. Excess debris is then lifted away by powerful in-unit vacuum technology. Hydrovacs can be used on a variety of ground types including, clay, soil and sand. Illuminate your project’s underground infrastructure! Our expert daylighting service exposes buried utilities, providing a clear view for effective planning and excavation while minimizing the risk of damage.

Trenching
Trenching at any depth has become increasingly difficult considering the cluttered maze of underground utilities that lie beneath our feet. From telecommunications to power lines to pipelines, it’s a challenge as there is no set regulation for setting the depth of the utility. Safer than mechanically digging the trench, it’s also convenient as a hydrovac is able to dig trenches in tighter spaces.

Shoring Installation
The Hydrovac first daylights the buried line to confirm its location. The shoring cage or box is then set up at grade, and the Hydrovac then pulls material from inside the cage to sink the shoring in place and secure the walls of the excavation. The result is cost effective and has safe access by regulatory standards to the buried infrastructure with minimal environmental impact. Shoring box excavating and installation is a process used in construction and excavation to provide temporary support and prevent soil collapse during the excavation of deep trenches or excavations. A shoring box, also known as a trench box or trench shield, is a structure made of metal or other materials that is installed within the excavation to stabilize the surrounding soil.

Utility Location
Utility locating by hydrovac has become an industry standard to determine depth and visually locate utility lines before mechanically excavating within 1 meter of any utility. Besides the obvious reason of increased safety using a hydrovac truck, there’s also less likelihood of damaging the utility.

Post & Pile Holes
Much like trenching, post and pile hole digging mechanically poses problems when working around today’s busy underground infrastructure layout. Hydrovac becomes a solution to this problem as we can dig to any depth safely without damaging the utility. We also have the ability to use remote hose for locations that don’t allow us to get close enough with the truck.

Directional Drilling Support
Hydrovac services play an integral role in directional drill projects by providing utility locates and digging sight holes so that drillers remain on their drill path. Hydrovac can also provide support for the transportation of drilling fluids and frac clean up.We’re always thrilled to be supporting your drilling operations. Our drill support service ensures a clear and safe workspace, excavating precisely to assist in drilling activities, whether for construction or resource exploration.

Remote Hose Excavation
Our ‘big blower’ trucks pull debris from 400 ft for precision at a distance. Our remote hose excavation service allows for targeted digging in challenging locations, ensuring accuracy and safety even in hard-to-reach areas. Slope excavation prevent soil collapse in excavations or trenches. It involves creating a gradual incline or slope along the sides of the excavation, which helps to support the surrounding soil and reduce the risk of cave-ins or slope failures. Properly sloping the excavation helps distribute the soil’s weight and minimizes the potential for cave-ins, ensuring the stability of the trench walls.
